What Crossplay Means in Dragonwilds

Crossplay in RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a setting attached to a world rather than a permanent account-wide switch. In the in-game menu, worlds can now be enabled as crossplay when you load them.

Players now have the option to make their worlds crossplay or not each time they host a multiplayer world, and dedicated servers now also have a crossplay option.

Crossplay worlds will be shown in the world browser, so you can tell which worlds are crossplay before you join.

You can now join worlds through invite codes. Invite codes can be entered in the world browser screen, and are shown in the in game pause menu.

Players now have the option to make their worlds crossplay or not each time they host a multiplayer world, so the choice is made per hosting session.
How do I know a world is crossplay before joining?
Crossplay worlds will be shown in the world browser, so the browser is where you check before entering.
How can I join a friend's world with an invite code?
You can now join worlds through invite codes. Invite codes can be entered in the world browser screen, and are shown in the in game pause menu.

Does crossplay mean my old RuneScape progress carries over?

Is there player-to-player trading in Dragonwilds?
Dragon Wilds does not have a grand exchange or direct player-to-player trading. If you want to trade something to somebody else, you simply drop it on the ground.
What should I do first once I am in a world?
You're definitely going to want to start by leveling a few core skills. You're also going to build your first base and equip it with some critical stations you'll use for crafting. When it comes to which skills you should focus on first, agility is the undisputed top priority.

Choose a World Setup That Fits Your Group

Use a dedicated server when your group wants a persistent world. Dedicated-server support arrived in a major update that also brought four quests, the Black Knight Titan boss, Dowdun Reach, controller improvements, and fixes.

Dedicated servers were moved earlier in the roadmap in response to player feedback, while later development added combat and quest content for solo and group adventures.

The official store presents Ashenfall as a survival journey across distinct regions shaped by wild magic, with community feedback also influencing the early arrival of dedicated servers.

Crossplay is already available alongside a broad set of world-creation options, so decide on those options before inviting the rest of your group.
